Booking for the tour

What is the advantage of taking your tour, against taking my own car to the same locations?

Most car rental companies state that you are not to take your vehicle off sealed roads unless you wish to pay a large excess. Many of the roads on the island are gravel roads.
Unless you are very familiar with the roads and tracks on Bruny Island you are likely to put yourself and your party in danger or become lost.
Your tour guide is a long-time resident of the island and has been 4 wheel-driving for many years. Our experience and local knowledge can ensure you will not take any wrong turns.
Many areas on the island have little or no phone reception. If you find yourself in a bad situation, you may not have reception to call for assistance.

We’ve booked a tour but have now thought we would like to just go see all the food places on the Island, is that possible?

Speak to your driver on the day when they pick you up. Depending on how many people make the tour group up we may be able to change the tour around for you.
Our main aim is to show you the wonderful sights of Bruny Island that others may never get to see. Time permitting at the end of the tour we can call upon some of the local producers.

How secure is my credit card and personal information?

Safety & comfort

Can we bring our own 4 wheel drive vehicle along with you?

We are not a tag along tour. We have been very fortunate to be granted access to private properties and they would prefer only 1 vehicle on there.

Bruny 4×4 Forest to Coast Adventures also respects the land that venture on to. It is not our intention to damage the tracks that nature has so generously provided us. When we are not taking tours out to show them the beauty of Bruny Island, we are ensuring the tracks we use are in good accessible condition for everyone to enjoy.

What should I bring with me?

A jacket, sturdy walking shoes, sunscreen, sun hat, your camera and most importantly your sense of adventure.

I have some mobility issues. Will I still be able to go on a tour?

At present we are unable to assist people using a wheelchair. Our tours are designed for the enjoyment of all. When the driver picks you up, they will discuss any issues you have. Tours can be changed to suit all guests.
